Townhouse

I have finally uploaded pictures of our townhouse. Sorry it has taken me so long. Please keep in mind that I still have to hang some paintings and pictures. It is a 2 bedroom 1 and half bath townhouse. It is much bigger than the 1 bedroom apartment we had in Franklin. I love our little townhouse.

Job Change

Well, so my job situation has changed a bit in the past week. I am sad to say that I am no longer with Life Spring Chiropractic. I loved being Dr. Guin's assistant but it was not a full-time position. SO I ended up having to leave. Luckily, I was able to get a position with another chiropractic clinic. I am now a CA soon to be CTA at Cool Springs Back and Neck Care. I started yesterday and already love it.

I am learning lots of new things. Not only does the clinic offer to patients electrical stimulation along with adjustments, but offer much more. Patients in our clinic can get spinal decompression therapy and brain core therapy. The staff has made me feel so welcome. All in all, I am so happy and so excited with this change. Most of all, I am just so very thankful that I am able to stay in chiropractic. I love the spine and everything involved.

Baby Update

We found out a couple of weeks ago that we will be having a baby BOY! My predictions were off by a longshot! At first I was a little sad that the baby is not a girl, but got over that quickly. For those of you who know me, really, what the heck would I do with a little girl. I don't like the color pink. I don't like fru fru stuff with bows and ruffles. I am a tom-boy as it is. I am so excited that I will be the only female in the house with my boys! We are still on track with the due date of Christmas Day. But I have been doing a lot of praying and speaking it over me that he will come on December 22. It would be perfect if that happens. So we will see! Here is a pic of our little one! I do not have a pic proving he is a boy though! This is the best one I have of him.

Our New Addition!!

Now...the exciting news.

Tyler is going to be a big brother!! We are expecting baby on Christmas Day!! We are super excited. So as I am posting this news, which is overdue announcing on my blog about, I am about at 17/18 weeks along.

It has been a much different pregnancy than I had with Tyler. He was an easy pregnancy. I was so lucky and blessed to experience what morning sickness is like during my first trimester (SARCASM INCLUDED)! Although, as with Tyler, I am dealing with indigestion and acid reflux. I am so thankful to have the big bottle of Gaviscon.

I got "the baby bump" around week 13/14 and here in the past 2 weeks have really gained weight and have a nice pregnant belly. I was told recently, "Are you sure that you are only having one baby? Because by the look of your belly and how far along you are, well..." Yeah, so I am not sure how to take that comment. She was being sincere, but come on!! Everyone is telling me that you start showing earlier with the second child. I think that I am only gaining the weight in my belly and not anywhere else.

My cravings have been quite different this time also. I have NO desire to eat bar-b-que. Tomatoes are still good, but not a necessity like with Tyler. I have not really wanted meat. I will eat the meat because it has many nutrients that I need for the baby, but I would much rather have veggies and other sides. The key hint that I was pregnant at the beginning was my unusually high craving for bread or toast. I went through loaves of bread like it was nothing. I have always had a love for cucumbers, but it has increased with pregnancy. But the one thing that has stood out above the rest has been FRIED FOODS: Fried Mozzerella Sticks, French Fries, Fried Okra(FAVE), Fried Pickles, and Fried Chicken Fingers(with 1000 Island dressing to dip 'em in).

Most recently, I have started to feel the flutters of the baby moving around. These feelings cannot be felt on the outside. But if you poke around on my stomach, you can around where the baby is. The baby will move to get away and have a little kick. I can't wait to start feeling the kicks more frequently.

On the gender of the baby...well...I have the same no doubt feeling that I had with Tyler, but only this time, I think it is a GIRL! My parents and my sister think and want it to be a girl also. Kenny and I, both, don't have a preference. And of course with Tyler, he really really really wants the baby to be a boy so he will have a little brother, but he has said that he will be just as happy with a little sister. We have an ultrasound appointment scheduled for August 2nd. I will be just at 19 weeks along. I will update the blog when we find out what the baby is.

As for names, well...We have decided that we are going to keep that a secret until he or she is born!! We have a couple of names in mind and will be open to any suggestions, but want to have the name be a surprise. Along with wanting to make the final decision on THE name to when we see his or her face and see what name fits.

I am going to upload baby bump pics soon. I also promise to those of you who actually read my blog, I am going to keep you updated more often now.

We have moved!!

Well...lots have gone on lately! I am such a bad blogger. I don't keep my blog updated like I should. So to those of you who actually read my blog, I sincerely apologize. I am going to make more of an effort to keep it updated regularly. So now on to the news.

We have moved...30 mins down the road to a little quiet country town named Fairview. We are now in a cute little townhouse. It is 2 bedrooms and 1&1/2 baths. Very plain but only a year and a half old and we are in the process of giving it character and making it HOME! It is so much nicer than the small and tiny 1 bedroom apartment that we lived in in Franklin. Our new townhome still has that new house smell which makes my day. Tyler will be getting a room. Yay! He is super excited. The laundry area is upstairs that also makes my day. I will post pictures soon, when we get done hanging up pictures and artwork.

ADD: Part 2

So, we went to meet our new pediatrician yesterday. We love him!! He is super cool and down to earth. We explained to him all of our concerns about ADD. He suggested that we go to the school and request for them to administer the comprehensive ADD test to him there. Here is the best part, IT IS FREE!! We don't have to go to a psychiatrist or a psychologist to get tested! Yay! The doctor saw a few signs that it could be ADD and then also said that he could still be adjusting to the move and being a kid.

Well I contacted the school the next day. We have scheduled a meeting with the counselors, teachers, and administrator that are included with these things. Soon after that he will take the test. Then have another meeting on the results.

I will update once the test has been taken and he has been evaluated.

ADD: Part 1

Tyler, my adorable 8 year old mini-me, has had a hard first year in Franklin. He has been through a lot. He was going to have to make new friends, start 2nd grade at a new school, and leave everything he knows behind. He has been a trooper. Thankfully he is a "Go with the flow" kid.

So shortly after he got here he started school at Moore Elementary. The school system is great. And from what I have heard, Williamson County and Franklin Special School District are the best around. This made me happy. With that, I have been told more than once when I have mentioned Moore Elementary that this school is like going to a private school. Highest grades around. Yay! But...

Tyler has never had a problem in school. He is a smart kid. But this year has been quite different. I have liked Moore but I am a little disappointed. I really like his teacher, but I would not have put a brand new student that is new to town from a different state in her class. She had twins in October. Which means she was out on bed rest a month before her maternity leave in October and most of November. So Tyler's class had a 2 substitutes during this time. No stability. She has returned, which has been nice.

So...the issue at hand. Tyler is very active. Always going going going! And so am I. I was diagnosed with ADD when I was in 5th grade. I thank my teachers and parents for attending to my needs and seeking help with this. Well, I am now in their shoes. I have met with Tyler's teacher. She has been so helpful and gave me some insight on school life with him. We have come to a mutual agreement, Tyler more than likely has ADD. I see the signs daily. We struggle with homework. Tyler knows the material but does not apply it or cannot stay focused enough to apply it and sometime learn the material.

Our next step is to go to the pediatritian to see about medication and symptom management, our appointment is on Wednesday. I understand that there a lot of children out there that have this disorder and there are some out there that have been labeled with ADD because they are just plain hyper and have discipline issues. I think that it is over-"diagnosed". The children and adults that really do have it, are the ones that are suffering from the negative opinions given to this disorder. I could go on and on about ADD (that will be for a new post...later). I have done my homework.

Please pray for Ty buddy, our new pediatrician, me and my sanity during this journey. Its going to be a trying time for us, but with steady prayer and God's help, we will get through it.

Prayer Requests

I have a couple of prayer requests that I want to share:

1. Along with praying for me, I want to make mention to pray for another sweet family. My good friend, Crystal, needs our prayers. Her newborn son, Grant, who is only 2 months old, will be having surgery on his precious little eyes in the next couple of weeks. He was born with cataracts. Once the surgery is over and with the help of eyeglasses, he will be able to see his loving parents and adorable big brother, along with all of his exteneded family for the 1st time. So, please please, pray for him and his strong and loving parents.

2. My sister's best friend, Amanda, lost her sweet baby girl about 7 weeks ago. I can't even imagine what she is going through. This is something that is so hard to deal with. I just want to send out a request for Amanda.

3. I also want to send out prayers for an old friend, Heather. She also lost her baby boy about 2 weeks ago. Losing a child is so hard no matter which way you look at it.

4. On a little brighter note, one of my new besties Beth has started her own salon with another stylist. They have been open for business for a couple of weeks now. Her clientele is still small. She has only been in the Franklin/Brentwood/Nashville area for about a year. I understand how hard it can be to start new. I want to pray that she gets more clients.

5. The next one will be explained in the next blog post. This one is has a couple of small chapters to it. It will come with updates throughout the coming week. Hint: TYLER and School.

Job Update!!

Well...I didn't get the job. But I am keeping my head up. I know there is something out there for me. I can't wait to find out what it is. I had an interview on yesterday. It went pretty good. I hope to hear back from them tomorrow. I am so tired of going to interview after interview, walk out thinking that "Maybe this is the ONE", then turn around and be told that they have chosen another candidate. Makes me think and wonder, "What didn't I say, or what do I have to do to get a job these days". Unfortunately, money doesn't grow on trees. And the bills keep coming. So sorry that this blog is a little negative and I'm doing a little griping.
I have never been out of a job for this long since Tyler was born. Well... it has never taken me this long to find a new job either. Makin me MAD!! I am going back and forth between keeping on with healthcare and going back to being a nanny.

I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who has been understanding during all of this and comforting when I don't get offered a job. Thank you so much for being by my side. Along with my friends and family that are also praying for me to find a job soon. Thank you! thank you! thank you!

New Friendships

I've already talked a little bit before about the formation of two new friendships. Well I want to talk more about them. I can't stop thinking and talking about how grateful I am for them. I believe 100% without a shadow of a doubt that God has put these two women into my life.

The three of us have so much in common. We are the same age. Our husbands are around the same age. We are mothers. Our families have only been living in this area for about a year now. We love wine. We love just hanging around the house with our families. The only difference I see is that they both have 2 kiddos and I have one. Both of them have one son (big brother) and one daughter (little sister). Can you tell I have analyzed this way too much. (oh, well...I have had a lot of time on my hands lately).

With both of them, we always have something to talk about along with something to vent about. It is nice.

I am dying to share the newest member of the Biddle family.

Meet Thor. He is the cutest little pomeranian puppy I have ever met.
I am about as excited about him joining their family as they are.

I NEED a Job!!

I was laid off 2 months ago. It really stunk. I loved my job, but the clinic was going under. Which left me unemployed. I have been steadily sending out my resume. I have had at least 2 interviews every week. The jobs are out there, but unfortunately I am not the only one looking for a job. Nobody has yet offered me a position. But...I may have a job! I went on an interview yesterday at a Dermatologist's office. They don't have any need for an xray tech. But a job is a job. I walked in for the interview and I got this warm fuzzy feeling. I have only felt that one other time, which was when I walked through the doors of the Surgical Clinic. Although I made a mistake to leave there, I am thankful for the friendships that I formed while working there. Anyways...I had a wonderful interview.

Yesterday afternoon, I got a call from one of the ladies asking me to return for a working interview. I have never had a working interview before. I was not sure what it was going to be like or what I was going to do. They wanted to see if this job was the right fit for me and if I was the right fit for them. So, I pick out my scrubs last night, got out of bed early, and arrived to the clinic at 8:45 this morning. I was ready to show them that I was the perfect fit. I sat at the front desk from 9-10:30 and observed what my job would be.

I LOVED IT!! I felt right at home. Everybody was friendly and just like a family. I left there with a good feeling. I think they liked me. Yay!! I have not heard back from them yet. So I am still crossing my fingers and praying that this is where God wants me to be. I am sure gonna miss being a stay at home mom/wife and hanging out with Mari and Beth.

But I NEED a job!!

Model for a Day

So...I was able to be a model for a day. My neighbor is a hair stylist in the Franklin/Brentwood area. She and her stylist friend have started a new salon...Hazel Eyes Salon. They needed a model to be pictured on their website. This is where I come into play. I got a new do and my picture taken.

I want to recognize the two wonderful ladies that made my day as a model.

Spring is Here!!

As we all know Spring has made its arrival. The blooming of the flowers and trees. Lots of things have changed around here. Franklin is so colorful this time of year. The grass is greener, the temperature is warmer, and the flowers are prettier.

Life around here has changed also. I am going to xray tech school. I was unfortunately laid off from my job at the clinic. But it has given me time to focus on other things. I have not had the best of luck finding a new one. So I have come to this...I truely believe that God does not want me to have a job during this season of my life. Good things will come to those who wait patiently.

So, how have I passed the time, you ask. I have formed wonderful friendships with a couple of wonderful women. I was able to be a model for a day. I have found a wonderful church for us to go to. I am going to be able to spend Tyler's spring break with him instead of working during it. I am enjoying being a stay at home mom and wife. I know it will not last too much longer but I am making the most of it.

LIFE IS GOOD!!
