Job Update!!

Well...I didn't get the job. But I am keeping my head up. I know there is something out there for me. I can't wait to find out what it is. I had an interview on yesterday. It went pretty good. I hope to hear back from them tomorrow. I am so tired of going to interview after interview, walk out thinking that "Maybe this is the ONE", then turn around and be told that they have chosen another candidate. Makes me think and wonder, "What didn't I say, or what do I have to do to get a job these days". Unfortunately, money doesn't grow on trees. And the bills keep coming. So sorry that this blog is a little negative and I'm doing a little griping.
I have never been out of a job for this long since Tyler was born. Well... it has never taken me this long to find a new job either. Makin me MAD!! I am going back and forth between keeping on with healthcare and going back to being a nanny.

I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who has been understanding during all of this and comforting when I don't get offered a job. Thank you so much for being by my side. Along with my friends and family that are also praying for me to find a job soon. Thank you! thank you! thank you!

New Friendships

I've already talked a little bit before about the formation of two new friendships. Well I want to talk more about them. I can't stop thinking and talking about how grateful I am for them. I believe 100% without a shadow of a doubt that God has put these two women into my life.

The three of us have so much in common. We are the same age. Our husbands are around the same age. We are mothers. Our families have only been living in this area for about a year now. We love wine. We love just hanging around the house with our families. The only difference I see is that they both have 2 kiddos and I have one. Both of them have one son (big brother) and one daughter (little sister). Can you tell I have analyzed this way too much. (oh, well...I have had a lot of time on my hands lately).

With both of them, we always have something to talk about along with something to vent about. It is nice.

I am dying to share the newest member of the Biddle family.

Meet Thor. He is the cutest little pomeranian puppy I have ever met.
I am about as excited about him joining their family as they are.

I NEED a Job!!

I was laid off 2 months ago. It really stunk. I loved my job, but the clinic was going under. Which left me unemployed. I have been steadily sending out my resume. I have had at least 2 interviews every week. The jobs are out there, but unfortunately I am not the only one looking for a job. Nobody has yet offered me a position. But...I may have a job! I went on an interview yesterday at a Dermatologist's office. They don't have any need for an xray tech. But a job is a job. I walked in for the interview and I got this warm fuzzy feeling. I have only felt that one other time, which was when I walked through the doors of the Surgical Clinic. Although I made a mistake to leave there, I am thankful for the friendships that I formed while working there. Anyways...I had a wonderful interview.

Yesterday afternoon, I got a call from one of the ladies asking me to return for a working interview. I have never had a working interview before. I was not sure what it was going to be like or what I was going to do. They wanted to see if this job was the right fit for me and if I was the right fit for them. So, I pick out my scrubs last night, got out of bed early, and arrived to the clinic at 8:45 this morning. I was ready to show them that I was the perfect fit. I sat at the front desk from 9-10:30 and observed what my job would be.

I LOVED IT!! I felt right at home. Everybody was friendly and just like a family. I left there with a good feeling. I think they liked me. Yay!! I have not heard back from them yet. So I am still crossing my fingers and praying that this is where God wants me to be. I am sure gonna miss being a stay at home mom/wife and hanging out with Mari and Beth.

But I NEED a job!!

Model for a Day

So...I was able to be a model for a day. My neighbor is a hair stylist in the Franklin/Brentwood area. She and her stylist friend have started a new salon...Hazel Eyes Salon. They needed a model to be pictured on their website. This is where I come into play. I got a new do and my picture taken.

I want to recognize the two wonderful ladies that made my day as a model.

Spring is Here!!

As we all know Spring has made its arrival. The blooming of the flowers and trees. Lots of things have changed around here. Franklin is so colorful this time of year. The grass is greener, the temperature is warmer, and the flowers are prettier.

Life around here has changed also. I am going to xray tech school. I was unfortunately laid off from my job at the clinic. But it has given me time to focus on other things. I have not had the best of luck finding a new one. So I have come to this...I truely believe that God does not want me to have a job during this season of my life. Good things will come to those who wait patiently.

So, how have I passed the time, you ask. I have formed wonderful friendships with a couple of wonderful women. I was able to be a model for a day. I have found a wonderful church for us to go to. I am going to be able to spend Tyler's spring break with him instead of working during it. I am enjoying being a stay at home mom and wife. I know it will not last too much longer but I am making the most of it.

LIFE IS GOOD!!

Diagnosis Hope

Saturday, God's wonderful light was able to shine so bright!! I spent the entire day at Christ Church as one of the many volunteers that showed up to help with the Dr. Asa's Diagnosis Hope Free Health Clinic. I was so grateful to take part in this. We were able to see about 350 patients.

I was so moved by the amount of patients that came in along with the amount of volunteers that gave up their Saturday to be God's servants. There were 10-12 doctors and nurse practitioniers, about 30 nurses, and close to 200 other volunteers. Most of them were probably between the ages of 18-24. These kids could have been anywhere else and doing anything else in Nashville, but chose to spend their Saturday with us. We were on our feet all day, but I did not hear one complaint out of anyone.

But the sad reality is, is that there are plenty people in our community, your community, and all over the US that don't have insurance and no way of getting the proper healthcare they need, that did come or was not able come to the Free Health Clinic.

The way I see it...All humans were put on here earth by God, the same way you and I were, and that they should not be refused healthcare due to lack of insurance and funds. Their health is just as important as yours and mine. I wish there was more that I could have done. But there is more that I am going to do!!

One of the best parts of the day was being able to witness to others, share what God has done in my life, and experience the beauty of what He is doing in my life. And what is even better, I was not the only one that was able to witness and share God's work. God is Great!!

Laundry...ugh!

I HATE laundry!! Well...just the fact that I have to go to the laundromat just to wash our clothes. (We have a dryer.)
Here is how a usual laundry trip goes... As long as I already have the money and detergent.
1. Carry 2 baskets and 1 laundry bag full of clothes down to the car. (PLUS: We live on the 2nd floor)
2. Drive 5-10 mins to the laundromat.
3. Carry the clothes inside.
4. Wash 3-4 loads at $2-3.75 each load. (Luckily...they have multiple machines)
5. Load the wet laundry in baskets and back in the car. (They are much heavier now)
6. Drive back home.
7. Unload the baskets and carry them up the stairs to the 2nd floor.
8. Dry each load, one load at a time. Time consuming.
Unfortunately, I have to wait until each load is done drying, folded or hung up, and put away before I can head to bed.
I am usually exhausted by the end of the night!!
Going each week makes me appreciate the little things in life.

I can't wait until I can fnd a washer for cheap. I have been looking for one that we can afford, but by the time I can search on Craigslist, contact seller, and wait for a reply; they have already been sold. :( So if anyone has a washer that they want to donate to this family in need, please let me know.
