Is been a Year!!

Wow!! It has been a while!! Well...almost a year has gone by. I apologize to anyone who reads my blog. It has been a great! I have been enjoying every bit of our little family!

Brief update:

Kenny is still working at Academy Sports. I am still at Cool Springs Back and Neck Care. I am about to take my boards for my limited xray license at the beginning of April. (insert Eeeek!! here) We bought our first mommy vehicle, Honda Odyssey, recently. I love it. Now, I don't know what I would do without it.

Tyler is about to go on Spring Break in 2 weeks. This school year is flying by. I will have a 5th grader before I know it. 10 year old boys are interesting. He is gettting closer and closer to becoming a teenager everyday. Overall he has been a pretty easy going pre-teen. Fun to hang out with when he is around and not outside with friends. He has been pretty healthy and growing up fast. He is the best big brother. We took Tyler to his first concert in February. We took him to a Shinedown concert. He loved it! Just finished playing  basketball, which is our first rec league sport since moving here. He will be playing baseball in the upcoming months. Super excited about that.

Ashton is soooo much fun! He is a small 1 yr old, weighing about 19lbs now at 14 months. Not saying there is anything wrong that but much smaller than Tyler was at his age. He started crawling around 11 months. He got off the bottle around his birthday. Since his birthday is at Christmas, we spent the holiday and his birthday in Opelika at my parents house. He unfortunately sick with what seemed to be like the flu throughout it all. He has battled the flu, stomach bug, and ear infections since his birthday.
He has not started walking yet. And I am quite alright about this. Not ready for that milestone yet. Although he does walk around the coffee table and along the couch while holding on. He has started saying a couple words like Ma-ma, Da-da, Bu-ba, Hi, and Bye Bye. Waves and points. Loves patty cake and peek a boo. He hasn't been sleeping in his own bed since before his birthday. But will soon be breaking this habit when he gets his own room. He is a momma's boy but loves his daddy and Bubba too!

Ashton and Tyler have such a wonderful relationship. Tyler is an amazing big brother. Always willing to help out as long as he doesn't have to change a diaper. They are getting closer and closer the older and more mobile Ashton gets. Tyler is now able to play little games with him and loves every minute of it. Ashton loves the interaction with Tyler as well. These boys are my life and I wouldn't change any bit of it!!

Catching up

So I have been trying to catch up on my blog. I wish I had more time in my days to keep this blog updated all of the time. But unfortunately I do not. Life around our house has been quite different but we are loving life as it is. We are enjoying being a family of four. I have gone back to work full-time at the clinic, Kenny is still at Academy, Tyler has about 4 days left as a 3rd grader, *CRAZY* And Ash is growing by the day.

Ash is now 4 months old. We go Thursday for his check-up. We'll find out how much he weighs then. He has been pretty healthy. He gets adjusted pretty regularly. Which I am so happy about. I cannot tell you what a difference it has made on his overall health. Other than having a blocked tear duct in his left eye, he has not had any problems. He has not started sleeping through the night yet. He has surprised me twice and slept for about 5 hours straight. But definitely did not continue. He does NOT like Tummy Time.

So, I decided that I would give breastfeeding another try. I tried to nurse Tyler, but unfortunately I was not able to for very long. It lasted 6 weeks and that was it. So, I gave it another try with Ash. And it has gone WONDERFULLY!! I couldn't be happier. I am so happy and thankful to still be nursing him. It has been so special. I will cry the day I wean him off.  He has done great with transitioning to a bottle during the day while I am at work. Although, he does feel the need to want to nurse all night when I have been gone all day. Overall...Ash has been an angel baby.

As for Tyler and his little bubby...they are two peas in a pod. Tyler is so proud and is so in love with his little brother. They have nicknames, Tyler is Bubba and Ash is Bubby! Ash is the last thing Ty kisses at night and the first person Ty kisses in the morning. Ash lights up when he sees his Bubba! I am so blessed to have such sweet boys.

Townhouse

I have finally uploaded pictures of our townhouse. Sorry it has taken me so long. Please keep in mind that I still have to hang some paintings and pictures. It is a 2 bedroom 1 and half bath townhouse. It is much bigger than the 1 bedroom apartment we had in Franklin. I love our little townhouse.

Job Change

Well, so my job situation has changed a bit in the past week. I am sad to say that I am no longer with Life Spring Chiropractic. I loved being Dr. Guin's assistant but it was not a full-time position. SO I ended up having to leave. Luckily, I was able to get a position with another chiropractic clinic. I am now a CA soon to be CTA at Cool Springs Back and Neck Care. I started yesterday and already love it.

I am learning lots of new things. Not only does the clinic offer to patients electrical stimulation along with adjustments, but offer much more. Patients in our clinic can get spinal decompression therapy and brain core therapy. The staff has made me feel so welcome. All in all, I am so happy and so excited with this change. Most of all, I am just so very thankful that I am able to stay in chiropractic. I love the spine and everything involved.

Baby Update

We found out a couple of weeks ago that we will be having a baby BOY! My predictions were off by a longshot! At first I was a little sad that the baby is not a girl, but got over that quickly. For those of you who know me, really, what the heck would I do with a little girl. I don't like the color pink. I don't like fru fru stuff with bows and ruffles. I am a tom-boy as it is. I am so excited that I will be the only female in the house with my boys! We are still on track with the due date of Christmas Day. But I have been doing a lot of praying and speaking it over me that he will come on December 22. It would be perfect if that happens. So we will see! Here is a pic of our little one! I do not have a pic proving he is a boy though! This is the best one I have of him.

Our New Addition!!

Now...the exciting news.

Tyler is going to be a big brother!! We are expecting baby on Christmas Day!! We are super excited. So as I am posting this news, which is overdue announcing on my blog about, I am about at 17/18 weeks along.

It has been a much different pregnancy than I had with Tyler. He was an easy pregnancy. I was so lucky and blessed to experience what morning sickness is like during my first trimester (SARCASM INCLUDED)! Although, as with Tyler, I am dealing with indigestion and acid reflux. I am so thankful to have the big bottle of Gaviscon.

I got "the baby bump" around week 13/14 and here in the past 2 weeks have really gained weight and have a nice pregnant belly. I was told recently, "Are you sure that you are only having one baby? Because by the look of your belly and how far along you are, well..." Yeah, so I am not sure how to take that comment. She was being sincere, but come on!! Everyone is telling me that you start showing earlier with the second child. I think that I am only gaining the weight in my belly and not anywhere else.

My cravings have been quite different this time also. I have NO desire to eat bar-b-que. Tomatoes are still good, but not a necessity like with Tyler. I have not really wanted meat. I will eat the meat because it has many nutrients that I need for the baby, but I would much rather have veggies and other sides. The key hint that I was pregnant at the beginning was my unusually high craving for bread or toast. I went through loaves of bread like it was nothing. I have always had a love for cucumbers, but it has increased with pregnancy. But the one thing that has stood out above the rest has been FRIED FOODS: Fried Mozzerella Sticks, French Fries, Fried Okra(FAVE), Fried Pickles, and Fried Chicken Fingers(with 1000 Island dressing to dip 'em in).

Most recently, I have started to feel the flutters of the baby moving around. These feelings cannot be felt on the outside. But if you poke around on my stomach, you can around where the baby is. The baby will move to get away and have a little kick. I can't wait to start feeling the kicks more frequently.

On the gender of the baby...well...I have the same no doubt feeling that I had with Tyler, but only this time, I think it is a GIRL! My parents and my sister think and want it to be a girl also. Kenny and I, both, don't have a preference. And of course with Tyler, he really really really wants the baby to be a boy so he will have a little brother, but he has said that he will be just as happy with a little sister. We have an ultrasound appointment scheduled for August 2nd. I will be just at 19 weeks along. I will update the blog when we find out what the baby is.

As for names, well...We have decided that we are going to keep that a secret until he or she is born!! We have a couple of names in mind and will be open to any suggestions, but want to have the name be a surprise. Along with wanting to make the final decision on THE name to when we see his or her face and see what name fits.

I am going to upload baby bump pics soon. I also promise to those of you who actually read my blog, I am going to keep you updated more often now.
